Hortus Botanicus means "Botanical Garden" (in Latin), and at our nursery we are very much like a mini botanical garden; growing and propagating a wide range of plants for sale, as well as offering private collections of plants and gardens for your enjoyment. Our range of plants extends from annuals and perennials, to unusual trees, shrubs and clematis, as well as nepenthes and other carnivorous plants, orchids and succulents. Established in 1994, Hortus Botanicus has been called "A gem among collector's nurseries" by Sunset Magazine. Visitng our website isn't quite like being at our nursery, but we sincerely hope that you will enjoy wandering through these pages as if you were meandering through our gardens and greenhouses in person - discovering some of the treasures Hortus Botanicus has to offer! We try our best to ship orders within a week, however we are a small, family-run business and, during spring and summer months, shipments may be slightly delayed - we appreciate your patience and understanding. WE ACCEPT PLANT ORDERS FOR SHIPPING TO THE US ONLY. Due to the many different customs restrictions and regulations involved in foreign shipments of live plants and seeds, we are unable to accept orders for delivery outside of the United States or orders to Hawaii.
