Willow Leaf Leucadendron
Leucadendron salicifolium
A 10' shrub with erect branches rising from a single stem at ground level, and having twisted, sickle-shaped leaves. Male flowers are surrounded by a few involucral leaves and light-colored basal bracts, and the female flowers are green cones. Rare for a Leucadendron, this one is wind pollinated.
This species naturally grows near streams and damp locations in acidic soil, in full sun. Hardy zones 8-10.
We ship vigorous, young plants in 1-gallon pots.
