This wonderful little orchid just doesn't seem to look like an orchid at all; if anything, it looks just like a little clump of rush or grass, or perhaps even a fiber optic sculpture. The 10" tall plants offer profuse quantities of thin 10" stems of 1 1/2" nodding flower spikes, which sport 1/16" creamy white flowers. It may not sound impressive, and a description can't do it justice, yet it is indeed very pretty when in bloom with 1000s of flowers on a mature plant! Dendrochilum tenellum also happens to be our most popular species and one of our most popular orchids! When people see our large mother plant in full bloom, sitting on our counter near the check-out, they just have to get one for themselves! Extremely easy to grow in bright filterd light with good moisture, in intermediate temperatures. Great for windowsill gardens.
